Meditation Community Sit
Would you like to practice meditation more regularly? Sitting groups help to cultivate friendship and community while meditating together. From work, to workouts, to catching up with friends and family and running errands, we are always on the go. It’s time to give our bodies and souls the rest and recovery we need. Join us as we seek to take away some of the busy and replace it with more calm. Betty Singleton-Stall, our Mindfulness Teacher at Zin-Zen Yoga, will help cultivate space for mindfulness so you can celebrate and connect to everything you are. We extend an open invitation to the greater community to join us for a weekly ‘Sit’. Come support and enhance your own individual practice by meditating with others each week in a quiet, peaceful space, without distraction or interruption. Community Sits are for everyone; no meditation experience required. It’s a way to freshen and broaden an individual practice in the company of other like-minded practitioners. These sessions are ‘Noble Silent Meditations’ with a short, thoughtful talk led by Betty at the beginning of each gathering. Dress comfortably and leave all technological devices aside. These community sits are offered weekly for a $5 CASH Dana Donation, there is no need to sign up… simply come as you are. Please plan to arrive at least five minutes before the meditation period starts so that everyone is comfortably seated before the session formally begins. Doors will be locked promptly at 7:30 pm.
