Children's Yoga, Ages 4-8 with Jenna Hershman Next held on Sun, Sep 24, 2017 at 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Have you ever thought about all the lessons you learned throughout your life such as being grateful, being true to yourself, living in the moment, being resilient, being comfortable with uncertainty, learning to love your authentic self and interacting with others honestly and with respect?   What if you were give the opportunity to have embraced all those lessons as a young child? How much easier and sweeter would life have been during those difficult years growing up?
 
Through our children's yoga program we will work to instill these qualities in the children, as well as provide an engaging and energetic asana practice.  Children will explore movement, using children's stories and songs to explore animals and other nature elements that relate to yoga poses.  The children will be invited to try the poses and explore their own expression of each asana. This is a fun and relaxed environment, perfect for introducing the youngest yogis to the joys of yoga! Enjoying asana, meditation and breath work and ending with a snuggly final relaxation, children will experience the benefits of yoga, and leave feeling replenished and renewed.
 
This series is for children ages 4-8; all levels are welcome. Parents are welcome to attend class with their child/children.
 
$72 for the six-week series. Drop-in for $15.
 
Classes are led by Jenna Hershman.  With a degree in Early Childhood education, Jenna has been teaching preschool since 2009. In 2014, deciding to merge her passion for yoga and her love for working with children, Jenna went on to receive her 19 hour children's yoga certification from ChildLight Yoga in Dover NH. She loves being able to share the benefits of yoga in a fun engaging way that reaches out and connects to the children in her classes.

Chakra Balance and Aromatherapy Workshop with Michelle Fabbrini Sat, Sep 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
 
Join Michelle as she guides you in a 90 minute yoga practice including breath work, meditation, movement and the integration of essential oils; leading you through the clearing of each of the 7 chakras, creating balance between your mind, body, and spirit!


In this workshop we will use pure essential oils, breath work, meditation and a physical yoga practice to work on balancing our body’s energy centers, also known as our chakras.


Learn more about essential oils and how they can be integrated into your everyday life and healing process. Locate each of your chakras, discover their state, and through meditation, asanas and aromatherapy learn to create balance in each, leaving this workshop feeling centered, balanced, and invigorated!


This workshop will be assisted by Sarah Reagan, a doTerra Wellness Advocate, who will be available to share information and answer questions about essential oils after the yoga practice.

Looking to start practicing yoga, but don't know where to begin? Join Cassandra for a 2-week class series tailored to complete beginners (and great for anyone wishing to revisit the basics!)
 
In these classes, you'll learn some of the basic yoga postures, focusing on safe and proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, as well as how to modify and use yoga props. We’ll also touch on breath work and an introduction to different meditation techniques.

Restorative Yoga and Aromatherapy with Cassandra Sullivan Sun, Oct 15, 2017 at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Return your body to a state of balance and calm with Restorative Yoga. Melt into gentle yoga postures, using bolsters, blocks, and blankets to support the body in easeful stretching to release tension. Soothing breathwork, loving hands-on touch, and essential oil aromatherapy help bring you deeper into a state of bliss! We will end with an extended shavasana and Yoga Nidra, a guided conscious relaxation meditation, allowing for deep levels of healing to occur on the physical, mental and emotional planes. All levels are welcome. Participants will receive a special essential oil gift to take home with them!

Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Series with Mandi Kulbacki Next held on Tue, Oct 17, 2017 at 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

This yoga class is for expecting moms, and moms post pregnancy looking to come back to their practice and into their body. No previous yoga experience is needed, and all levels are welcome.

The body changes with each trimester, and this class is specifically designed to be safe for mom and baby through out the entire pregnancy. We will be using modifications, blocks, bolsters, and the wall to make sure all asanas are practiced safely.

Yoga practice and breathing helps with pregnancy discomfort, and strengthens the body for delivery. We invite you to join us to treat your mind, your body, and make friends during this exciting journey!

Join us as we welcome Betty Singleton back to Zin-Zen Yoga for an inspiring workshop on creating a more mindful life! Learn techniques for mindfulness in your daily life, explore guided meditation, learn about Mindful Based Stress Reduction and experience a gentle yoga practice. You will be sure to walk away with practical ways to be mindful and reduce stress in your life.

Betty believes in mindfulness as a ‘way of being,’ and as a life-long journey of ‘inner self.’ Mindfulness offers many benefits and can lead to openness, clear thinking and wisdom into the nature of our hearts and minds. It can reduce stress and offer insight, compassion and well-being to those who are curious and open to practicing. As a teacher, Betty is welcoming, informative, caring, and kind. She invites all levels of practitioners to her classes.

Spring Equinox Sound Healing Event with Joe Hayes Sun, Mar 25, 2018 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
 
Since ancient times, people all over the world have celebrated the Spring Equinox as a sacred event of returning light, life, warmth, and growth. Here in New England we long for the spring just as passionately! Please join us as we gather in community to celebrate and honor the Equinox via exquisite sound and tone-- and launch our own individual renewal after a long winter. Join Joe Hayes of SoundScapers in our warm, candlelit studio as we journey through Native American drum and song, guided imagery, Himalayan Sound Bowls, the didgeridoo, a complete complement of quart crystal and fusion singing bowls, and the shurti box with sacred Eastern chant. You will leave released, refreshed, and literally re-tuned!
 
In addition to promoting overall relaxation, increasing resistance to stress, boosting energy levels, alleviating psychosomatic pain, lessening depression and improving digestion, this Experiential Sound Bath & Meditation will help re-balance the nervous system and bring the body, mind and spirit to a state of equilibrium which deepen our connection with ourselves and The Universe.
